“Occasional pointers from the Style Fairy”
One of many many DFW comments on a student essay he marked in 1997.
Someone needs to start a web comic that chronicles the adventures of this Style Fairy. Possible installments could be “The Style Fairy Battles Syntactic Ambiguity” or “The Style Fairy Combats Your Poor Use of Metaphor”.
