Recently there has been much debate about document formats ie. OOXML vs. ODF vs. PDF, which
is a better format? which is easier to implement? which is more open or going to be more widely
supported? etc.
The problem with all of this is that all document formats are currently deprecated. Word
processors are only useful for backwards compatibility with users that started out on type
writers and think that information should be distributed, stored and created on thin pieces of dead tree.
