Film and game violence seen as a threat
The main problem with a lot of psychological studies is that they are so intent on coming to a conclusion that they fail to take in to account many extraneous variables.
“The findings, which are reported in the Journal of Adolescent Health, support earlier research which showed that children who watch violent television shows and who identify with the characters and believe they are real are more likely to be aggressive as adults.”
Does this take in to account the idea that people who are aggressive will identify with similarly aggressive fictional characters? I guessI’ll have a look at the study.
