In retrospect I think this was probably the simplest way to handle the question.

Wow… Great way to weed out a lot of candidates. It’s pretty much a lose, lose situation unless you have a stellar Twitter record.

Note to self: set twitter to private before all future job interviews.

Actually it seems like a great idea for both you and the employer. They get to see your public face and see if you’re compatible with their company’s culture and you don’t get a job that you’d hate.
