Today’s Photojojo submission topic is “wheels”.
When studying abroad in India a few years ago, I had the privilege of meeting this man. At 85 years old, he spun beautiful pottery and oil lamps on this broken wagon wheel— which is perfectly balanced on a mound of dirt and pushed with a stick.
He’s the last of the clay spinners in the village, and no one had stepped up to be his apprentice when we visited.
I took this photo in 2008 outside of Anukkuvar Village, Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu, India.
Another guy friend is falling for me. Why the fuck does this always happen?! I don’t even flirt with them goddammit!
>_<

Entomology has never been so awesome.
Resource Furniture specializes in space-saving furniture, like those Murphy beds that give cartoon characters problems. They not only appear to work fluidly, but they look fantastic. I’m not sure how much they cost, but it’s likely not cheap.
I think my favorite part is that whatever sits on the shelves never has to be moved off when the system is transformed. (via core77inc)
That’s awesome!
